Let’s be honest, we’ve all been there. You know what I mean!
How many times have you caught yourself saying that there could be no other solution to your problem? Or how many times have you felt stumped believing the problem laying before you is one you can’t resolve?
You may have told yourself, you have no leads, no options, no solutions.
What a dangerous narrative!
This dangerous narrative has the ability to create limits in your mind and it doesn’t direct you towards success. Although your situation may seem impossible. There’s always a way to resolve a problem.
We get it, we’ve all hit a mental wall and felt we had no answers, therefore, the next time this happens to you, give yourself a chance. Open your mind by changing your narrative to what may be possible and try using these 3 tips.
There’s More Than One Way To Get There
Tip# 1 Open Your Mind: Be open-minded to the fact that there may be more than just one solution to your problem. Yes, you hoped for a particular outcome, but life is about adaptability and personal growth. Therefore, don’t get so focused on one path that you miss the opportunity to go a different direction.
Tip # 2 Capture Your Thoughts: Make a list of all of your perceived constraints and assumptions that you have about your problem(s). Walk away for about 5-10 minutes and then return. Read what you have written. Identify which assumptions are valid and which assumptions are limiting beliefs.
Tip # 3 Ask for Help: There’s an old adage," Two Heads are Better Than One." Therefore, seek help from those who have experienced what you’re going through. You can benefit from listening to someone who has had experience solving problems similar to yours.
In a world where there’s constant expectations of success, reaching set goals and becoming a girl boss, slow down and allow yourself not to always have the answer. Step back from the expectations of what should be and be open to new opportunities to see yourself and your problem from a different lens.
As long as you stay committed to discovering a solution(s), there is always a chance that a solution will present itself. Remember, greatness isn’t created over time and there’s won’t be a one size fits all solution to your problem(s). It’s personal growth time!
